When we have no rain or we have flooding we design When we have no rain or we have flooding we designate sacrifice paddocks. We don't rotate during this time as we normally would to prevent the damage drought/flooding can have on the soil. After these periods we then replant and regenerate these sacrificed areas. This is one of the sacrificed paddocks that we regenerated only 2 weeks ago. We planted a mix of legumes, herbs and grasses as well as plants like sunflowers whose roots can go down 2m to help with compaction and bringing nutrients back up to the topsoil.
