Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a relationship of mutual support and commitment between farmers and members. Members can purchase a weekly subscription or a seasonal membership and receive a weekly share of quality, organically-grown, nutrient dense produce from our farm.
Like any farm we have our crop failures, weather nightmares and human errors. The CSA model we have adopted is one where the CSA members share the risks and the bounty with us. In return they know who has grown the food they are eating each week, how it was grown, when it was picked and how far it has traveled to get to their plate. This means that some weeks the boxes we provide our members are overflowing and some weeks they are not as full as we had planned. Some weeks there is a nice balance with what’s in the box, even including strawberries, potatoes and leeks, and other weeks the box is filled with lots of different leafy greens. Even though we plan for a box to suit many different tastes, our best efforts do not always guarantee this will happen. We keep experimenting with new varieties, new planting times, different spacing, all in hopes of filling the boxes with diversity and quality. We also like to support our local pesticide-free farmers so occasionally we’ll add their produce to our boxes.
Weekly subscriptions available now in our shop. For a weekly payment of $50 you will receive a large box of locally-grown fruit and vegetables that feeds a family of 4. There is also an option for a half box for $35 per week.
Winter season memberships are now available in our shop. Join us with a winter season membership for only $540 for a large box and $378 for a half box (that’s a 10% discount!). Commencing Wednesday 6th June 2018 and running for 12 weeks (with the last veggie box on of 22nd August 2018).
Pick up direct from the farm in Jilliby or a neighbourhood pickup point is available at East Gosford on Wednesday 4-6pm. Members are required to collect their share within the allocated time frame and return their previous weeks box.
